Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha to Tarangire, about a 2–3-hour drive. Upon arrival, you’ll enter a landscape defined by ancient baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which attracts large concentrations of wildlife, especially in the dry season. You’ll spend the day on a game drive, with excellent chances to see large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and predators like lions. The park is also known for its rich birdlife and quieter, less crowded feel compared to other parks. In the late afternoon, head to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
