After breakfast, explore the vast Serengeti plains as you travel to the remote Kogatende area in northern Serengeti. Known for the Mara River and dramatic landscapes, Kogatende offers exceptional wildlife viewing, especially from July to October when the Great Migration arrives. Witness migrating wildebeest, zebras, and possible predator activity while enjoying the quieter atmosphere of this northern wilderness.

Spend a full day exploring Kogatende and the Mara River, one of the best areas to witness the Great Migration. Begin with an early morning game drive to spot active predators and migrating wildebeest and zebras gathering near the river crossings. Enjoy a picnic lunch while searching for wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles. Continue exploring different river viewpoints in the afternoon, with opportunities to witness dramatic crossings and predator interactions before returning to camp.

Stay Overnight at Heritage Mara Camp

The drive from Kogatende to Central Serengeti takes about four to six hours and doubles as a game drive. You leave early when wildlife is active, passing through the northern hills near the Mara River where migration herds and predators may still be present. As you head south, the landscape opens into wide plains with steady sightings of giraffes, elephants, and antelope. By midday or early afternoon, you reach Central Serengeti, where wildlife density increases again, especially for big cats, and continue with an afternoon game drive. After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five, black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and a variety of birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before continuing your wildlife viewing. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today after breakfast, we will drive to Kilimanjaro international airport and Fly back Home.
